Doug and Karen Urquhart wedding – West Point New York

I have been traveling and shooting a lot recently.  One of my shoots was in West Point New York to document Doug and Karen Urquhart’s wedding.  I love shooting wedding’s and plan on making it my main focus for the coming year.  There are so many raw emotions that can not be duplicated and only happen on a wedding day.  To know that Doug and Karen will have images I created in their home to remind them of this amazing celebration for a lifetime is my inspiration.  Congrats to Doug and Karen!

Back to Blogging…

I have been really busy lately shooting and setting up my business so I can better serve my clients.  I am looking forward to the end of this year and have many things planned for the near future inculding a book on the Underground Hip-Hop scene in Atlanta.  The image in this post is one of B-Boys from the ATL Funlordz, Quic and Cool which will be featured in the book.  I will  be shooting weddings, model promo’s, events and anything else I can get my hands on in the coming months.  I am hungry, inspired and ready to shoot my way into the future.

Video Series – Dreams #1

Jim Russell is a member of the Just People Independent Living Program.  Jim lives with Asperger Syndrome but it does not prevent him from living a full-filling life.  The AJC recently wrote an article about Jim and his involvment with the Georgia State Defense Force that you can read HERE.  Jim’s dream is to become a photographer and wants to start by taking classes at the Roswell Parks and Rec Department which cost around $60 a session.  If anyone would like to make a contribution to Jim’s dream email jpeople99@netscape.net with the subject line of “dreams – Jim Russell”.
